My approach is grounded in helping people understand themselves with more curiosity and less shame. I help clients notice patterns, understand the protective strategies behind them (because these things were useful at some point!), build practical coping and relational skills, and find more choice in places that have started to feel automatic.

We’ll slow down and get curious about your patterns, your protectors, your relationships, and the places where you’ve been surviving more than choosing. This might look like laughing at a joke and then helping you unpack the self-protection behind the humor. Our work will go at your pace, checking in with both your brain and your body.

My clients would describe me as warm, direct, and very much a real person in the room. I’m compassionate, but I’m not going to leave you alone with the same five loops your brain has been running since 2009. I won't be a classic therapist 'blank slate'. I choose connection, honesty, and having a place to be exactly as complex and intricate as we are.

I am almost always shoes off, feet up, and sipping from a rotation of beverages (caffeine, hydration, treat, etc!). I love a metaphor and use them often. There will always be available snacks and beverages for clients in my office. And I definitely want to see photos of your pets or projects or whatever other pieces of your life you'd like to share!
