As someone who was diagnosed later in life with ADHD, I was not surprised that the majority of my practice in the last 20 years has been with neurodiverse clients. In addition to being trauma informed I have extensive knowledge about therapy from the perspective of being a professor for 15 years. I work extensively with perimenopause and mental health.

If we try something that doesn't work, then we move on to the next thing until we find what works. I have enough experience to know that people do best with what feels manageable. I am big on validation, honesty, and if I don't know, I will find out or get resources that you need. I love being creative as it facilitates healing and allows deeper process.

I am supportive and directive, in-depth and fun, analytical and creative. I invite you to explore all aspects of your identity including cultural and spiritual health. If you want a therapist that digs The Enneagram, mindfulness, tarot, and astrology then I am a good fit (although I will always work with your beliefs and values).

Adults, including young adults that are neurodiverse. I work with people transitioning perimenopause and menopause. I understand working as a healthcare professional and am well versed in helping other providers. People often find me when they are grieving, working through a difficult relationship, or working on growing a new set of relationship skills.

After graduating with my BA degree, I knew that I wanted to either be a therapist or teacher. I earned my masters in counseling and went to work as a therapist. I went back for a PhD, but stayed working as a therapist. My work is influenced by my prior background in teaching yoga, and as an actor. I enjoy seeing people grow and become even more themselves.

I love to help people and I use three modalities. One, I support people with active listening, reflections, validating your lived experience. Two, I direct people as needed to resources that may be invaluable to your healing, or from my education background, sharing what I know to help you recover. And most of all, I guide people, with your values first.
